Each year, residential and commercial properties spend thousands of dollars on cleaning and repairing damage caused by birds. Birds nesting or roosting on homes and buildings leave debris and droppings, which can seriously damage structures. Bird droppings are acidic and can rapidly erode building materials. In addition to building damage, pest birds' feces can carry up to 60 transmittable diseases. Over time, these diseases can be harmful, especially to children and those with weakened immune systems. It's crucial to have an IPM program in place that is both safe and humane to prevent severe problems caused by pest birds.
